Gat Vol

Gat Vol

A Poem by Lizza543
"

One of my short and sweet peices.

"

Once a year, African daisies

Bloom in love and conquest

Of those dried up plains

She had admired so much.

In rows, they sprout

And open in a fanfare

Swallowing any ugliness

The soil had left in it.

It is observed how closely

They hug the dirt,

Petals and vines intertwining

As if sisters and brothers.

Rising reds topple

Abruptly towards the sky,

The blues and purples

Raging beside,

To take center stage.

I like the simple way this written. I think the language flows beautifully and the poem is the exact length it needs to be. Very well done.
