Here's your apology. Your long awaited Apology. Will it make a difference?

A Poem by Lizza543

I’m sorry I’m not the daughter you always wanted.
I’m sorry I have outspoken opinions.
That my grades aren’t the best and I have no talent.
That, I’m not in any way perfect.

I’m sorry I haven’t won any important awards.
I care more about other people than you.
Sorry about that.
I’m too sensitive and proud of it.

Too bad I won’t follow in your footsteps.
Too bad I can’t be anyone but myself.
I hate makeup, I never liked dolls.
Sorry.

I’m shy and reclusive, never social.
My best friend is all I have, and you can’t understand why.
I laugh occasionally, when you’re not around.
Oops.

I avoid being home.
I can’t keep my room clean for more than an hour.
I’m sorry.
I aim for the impossible, and you hate that.

I’m sorry I’m not the daughter you dreamed about when you were a kid.
I’m sorry my friends are twice my age.
I’m sorry, that I don’t love you.
Sorry, about everything.
