Steps to the moon

Stepping into a new life or stepping out of one, taking the first step is the hardest part.

Step out of your body and into the rain
With nothing to lose one step up and you'll gain
One little step, thats how it begins
I'll do one too, look at that, we're step twins!
That wasnt so bad, let me try that again
I think I can do it, just one step and then
Im halfway to happy, one step at a time
This step thing is easy, life is so far behind
And so are the problems that tortured my mind
Dont think I'll be stopping any time soon
I think I quite like, stepping out with the moon!

It takes courage to change direction. That first step can be so difficult, especially when a person has become insular. Reach out, take that first step and then another. Reach for the moon. Lovely poem.

LizBot,
Oh I like this one. The moon is such a wonder and so is stepping outside what we know or understand. I needed to be reminded that their is no guidebook to how one feels or why we respond as we do but to be human and simply be is the first step to trying. Learning is a gift we can all embrace all our life.
