Faces

Faces

A Poem by LizBot3
"

Someday I'll understand me. Till then, I shall write!

"
I close my eyes, take one deep breath
And brace for what will be
The storm rises inside me
Pressure builds relentlessly
I know that you have found me
Nemesis times me
I feel you getting stronger as you drain me shamelessly

Why do you come back here, time and time again
Theres nothing left worth taking, yet you take it all and then
Suddenly you face me, and finally I see
I see your face so clearly, I see that you are me

Its why I cant defeat you, and why Iv never tried
Its why you wont release me, its you I had to find
All the hardest battles I have fought inside my mind
But Im no longer running and I dont need to hide

'Faces'
LiszBot,
Hi there Liz,
Well this was a walk through what we all face in this life. As I was reading I thought, " Yup trouble is the theme but it is meant to be dealt it's place. Trauma and difficulties are lived on every level for all humanity but how can we perform damage control? The last line was good.
"All the hardest battles I have fought inside my mind
But I'm no longer running and I don't need to hide."
Blessings in your new year!
Kathy

This is very mysterious and dreamy. Each line make effort of longing and human found lost. It's feels very rising above of own limitations. I like that end when you end up to chasing of own reflections and you don't need to hide anymore. Well done.
