Quietened Ink

This describes the different emotional behaviours that come with different aspects of life as its takes me on my journey.

Heartbreak births creation, words gush like a flood
Hurt helped me feel music, and release unused love
I used them as crutches, to help me move on
And then when I get there, I hear a new song
The storm calmed inside me, my heart can now breath
But I lack creation, grown from tears as its seed
One day life will quiet, as my birds fly the nest
And I'll suddenly wonder, what emotion comes next?
Right now we are hectic and happy times three
But I know when I need it, my pen will find me.

The most famous artists and artworks of all mediums typically all have some sort of tragic backstory. I like that you manage to describe that without saying that directly. I also like the message here - to enjoy every fleeting moment while you can, and if not, to use it to find a new source of joy. So profound!

This was a real life look at process. I get that. I raised my family and now life is different again with aged parents, (husband's and mine.) It's so beneficial to be able to write now and then just to work through inner reality.
