Who Is There?

Who Is There?

A Poem by Liz

Floating weightlessly on a journey through time,

Her body contorts over every peak, into every crevice,

As silence beams louder than ever before,

Pleading, begging, for someone to save her,

Who is there to reach out a hand?

But her words come out as nothing but whispers,

So soft, almost silent to all human ears,

Verses continue to swim on, remain unheard of,

Cuz' when no one cares or wants to listen,

Who is there to run to?

Let the wires tighten around your fragile ankles,

Soon the flowery designs will fade away,

Cuz' when you’ve done all this damage,

Logical it is to turn another direction,

Who is there to understand?

When you’ve shattered all who’ve ever cared,

How can it be, to rearrange the repairs,

Look far beyond the eyes you see,

Sometimes you’ve got to search to find,

Who is there to look at you?
