For She Who is an Apple

For She Who is an Apple

A Poem by Liz

Take a walk along the path of the green grown apple trees,

and reach for the branches as you travel the bottom

of the curve where her lips form a smile.

She doesn’t remember what it’s like to take a bite from

the Earth in which she wanders,

but she’ll never forget what it’s like to taste fire.

And so when the flames begin to spread, yet again,

offer her a hurricane to wipe away the red,

for she won’t take your offer with ease,

but nor will she think to decline.

This was very interesting to read. It has a very interesting rhythm. And the ambiguous subject matter gives enough description so that the reader has a platform from where they can interpret what is written, but also enough room to wiggle. Great poem.

A very new--art i`ve read... through your words. Beautiful write. You`ve transform your emotions through an apple or may be, through your beautiful puckered lips. Very well.. enjoyed reading it! Keep it up!
