Inevitable

Inevitable

A Poem by Liz

I want you to tell me

that there is nothing more beautiful

than the changing of the seasons,

or watching the stars fall from the sky.

And I want you to tell me

that we can’t have forever,

but that each breath will make us infinite.

And when my tears begin to freeze

and you reach out to thaw them

don’t tell me I’m alive;

don’t tell me that you’re sorry;

don’t tell me that you love me.

I want you to tell me

that there is nothing left but dying.

Liz, you create a powerful poem. Used the seasons to make the poem emotion and thoughts come alive.
"don’t tell me I’m alive;
don’t tell me that you’re sorry;
don’t tell me that you love me."
No weakness in the amazing poetry.
