May 1st Gogyohsi and Haiku

May 1st Gogyohsi and Haiku

A Poem by Raven

Gogyohshi

the old bridge to nowhere

extends from one side to another

with many breaks along the way

it reminds you that it is the journey

and not the destination

Haiku

mint roots strangling the garden - fragrant cup of tea

Note: A gogyohshi is a Japanese free form 5 line poem.  Mine is about the header that I have put into place.  The Facebook NaHaiWriMo prompt for May 1st is “roots.”  I used the spring kigo "mint."
