Crows Are Comin In

Crows Are Comin In

A Poem by Raven

Crows are

comin in

Comin in

formation

Like those big bombers.

Black oh so black

Those crows.

Wicked lookin

But I know better

Big black beakers

Life of the sky

Covering it now

Hovering there

Sometimes three or four

Now those threes and fours

Cover the sky.

Night times comin,

They let me know

Just like clockwork.

Yup……tis’ 4:30.

Was a time man had

No clocks.

Depended upon

nature he did.

How’d he fall away

How’d he come

to want a Rolex

stead of a crow?

Crows give you

more

for your money

than a Rolex.

You look up in the sky

And know the

time of day.

Look up again

an see the magic

crow brings

us, the mysteries

bout ourselves.

Without the pain

‘less course it’s

the trickster crow.

Then?  Well, then

You learn more as

the crow goes deep

shape shiftin ya

in your sleep

if you let him.

Deep deep down

he goes

and helps you

every time.

And they

clean up the place

pickin up

your garbage

eatin the scraps.

singin too.

Love those crow songs.

Naw … caw, you don’t

need that watch

 jess watch

the crow fly by.

And if you’re lucky

[and with crow

you will be]

you will see him cross

the moon on a cold

clear night.

Now that is

special luck.

Fly by night

crow.

You were really able to express your feelings here, so well that I have a new found appreciation of crows!

Hello Lizzyrs,

I am going to go out on a limb here and say you enjoy Crows. I am not sure why I think that, but I think it is sound logic. I like the reference to man losing their touch to Nature, which is true. Put the man in a jungle and could he survive for more than a day or night? Doubtful, but you have this special connection with the Crow. An excellent read and write. Well done.

regards,

Matthew
