Crow Maybe
A Poem by
Raven
Oughtn't need explaining ... crows never do.
clouds
moon
birds
feather
lightening
strikes
burning
lavender light
acrid
smoke
rises
high
all around
me
destruction
soon i
find
purpled bird
at my feet
purpled
darkened
green
fire
glowing
lights
the world
crow
knowing
flies up
no death
can
defy
as spirit
reaches
far
beyond
sky

I love how this poem illustrates an almost post-apocalyptic world of destruction and simultaneously the idea of the spirit reaching freedom and piece at last.
Written in simple, strong words.
I really enjoyed reading this!

Hello Lizzyrs,
I do enjoy a good poet from my Home City. I also enjoy a good poet who can indeed put pen to paper, or keys to screen and come out with something so good. An excellent work.
Regards,
Matthew

I love the darkness, then that is a given. The real beauty is in the freedom of the soul and spirit.
