A Poem by living lavender
"

"
shattered glass put back together is beautiful
and
unique in its own.

one of a kind in how sunlight shines through it
and
reflects in others.

yet, it can not hold water the same as once before.
but...

there are those who are so cold from water,
all they crave is the warmth of sunlight.

through the cracks of broken glass.
no matter how small.
...
they are content.

I think this piece says a lot of your character. A sense of "Though I may have been broken once, twice, or thrice before, I continue to love, and now use my weakness (the brokenness) to my advantage." And even in your own broken pain, you can't help but acknowledge there are other people that need warmth and sunlight- not just you.

"There are those who are so cold from water,
All they crave is the warmth of sunlight"

After a while of drowning in emotion, is it so much to ask that we come up for air? That we ourselves have our basic needs met? Perhaps I'm reading too much into this work, but your writing always seems to have layers upon layers to it, expressed in such a way that anyone could receive value of your work, even if they only scratched the surface.

I really enjoyed this piece, "Delody" (if I go down a potential list, I'm bound to get the "riddle" right, right?....)

Keep up the good work :)

i appreciate that.
thank you
Haven't observed much good poems around now, but yours sure is promising to make someone's day beautiful by reading a poem about broken things. Broken things are beautiful on their own but not everyone can notice the beauty. Great write Lavender. Carry it on.

The whole can be perfection - as was intended to be. But.. to shine and enchant however and whatever the flaws is nonetheless beautiful for its unique existence. Surely?

Your words lend themselves to thinking further than one's own nose, mind and heart, living lavender.

wow. thank you for your stunning observation.
i am flattered by them. truly.
Just cause it's cracked doesn't mean it isn't beautiful. Sometimes they have to be put back together to have that true beauty one seeks.

Good read

With love

the concept appeals to me.

my version:
glass shards strewn about a yard
glued back together to find its own pieces
sunlight shone on its back to shine through the faces
through its aperture it shelves the warmth
others craved for
