Collector of Sorrow

Collector of Sorrow

A Poem by LivingLament

Drowned in sorrow before first breath drawn
Born lost to a sea of tears to come
Blackened at heart on first dawn
Nameless voices in the head hum
Heir child of the misery crown
Never shall he know renown
Passing like a falling star in the midst of night
Only to be witnessed and remembered by a chosen few
Burning with anxiety, an unknown rue
These paths long lingered upon in search of sorrows
As pain is provoked and tears fall a sad soul shall appear
Reaping unwelcome parasites, hosts full of fear
Building his burden, a throne of anguish
Black and bitter, Cold and old, the heart in languish
On this quest there will be no glee
Collector of sorrow he is to be.

There's a certain element to this that is very captivating. Written exceptionally and woven with darkness and emotion.
