Night with Nocturnal

Night with Nocturnal

A Poem by LivingLament

Upon Entering Nocturnal's Realm
A Shadow appeared Grand and Royal
Engulfing All In A Gracious Calm
Yet Naught Emotion resisted The Turmoil
A Purging, Fertilizing of new soil
That Can Grow & Nurture Forevermore
The Seed Planted, Sown Deep in the Core
On His Chariot Helios arrived, Away The Shadow Would Melt
With the Abyss Open, Torn Apart I Felt
Like The Ocean Crying Out To The Moon At Night
Knowing He could Never Call to Her
Knowing He could Never Reach Her
Knowing He Could Never Embrace Her
Mine Heart was Dragged Asunder
Buried Abysmally Beneath The Rocks Of Earth
Slumbering Through The Cold Dead Winters
Awakened, Solely By The shadow's Siren Song
On Arrival in Realm Of Man
The Gates of Truth I Would Ram
Discovered I Have, a Gift From Mother Nyx
An Enchanted Sword, Lies I Shall Behead
Crystal Mirror Shattering at the Sight of Face Made Whole
Content in Haunting Emptiness I Beheld
Hidden Within, Chambers Lost to the Soul
There Resides The Emptiness, 'Tis Her; No mere Mingling of Shadows
And Remain There She Will, Until I March for the Gallows.
