Left Behind

Left Behind

A Poem by LivingDeath

Take a picture of me and I will smile
tell a joke and I will laugh,
I can see you perfectly
but you can just see half,
I can tell you all my secrets
but in the end you'll never know,
you'll never know the scars I hide
that I bottle deep below.
And though you'll never know me
my words I leave in time,
the still frames of my memory
the ones you left behind..

Author's Note

LivingDeath
I was editing a picture of a very important person in my life and wrote this on the spot as I put it in the picture. She always tells me that she just keeps bottling it up cause nobody really understands, so I tried putting myself in her shoes while I wrote this. (Click on the poems thumbnail to see the pic)
