Barely Breathing

Barely Breathing

A Poem by LivingDeath

There's pain in the healing
the cuts and the bleeding,
with a broken heart I'm living
but still I'm barely breathing.

No time can fix my heart
and your lies have done their part,
the words that made me smile
now tear my world apart.

And I want to hold you close
hold that love I loved the most,
but you destroyed the man I used to be
and left me with the ghost.

And though there's pain in healing
the endless cuts and bleeding,
with a broken heart I'm living
my life will not stop breathing.
