Beneath These Ashen Stars

Beneath These Ashen Stars

A Poem by LivingDeath

Lay your head upon my chest
and listen to my heart,
feel it beat with yours.
The soft touch
blissful,
perfect,
and real.
Your fingers,
dance against my palm.
My head,
resting softly on your shoulder.

I look into my heart
and see your ice blue eyes,
looking deep into who I am.

Thank you for caring
to break down my walls,
to see passed the mask I wear.

To you I give my trust
reaching out my open arms,
take me by the hand
beneath these ashen stars.

The message in this is so light and lovely, but kind of heavy and deep underneath. Great poem :3

This was breathless and beautiful. As usual, your unique structure is your best feature. I'll accept this as a telling piece. The personal nature of the poem is good, although poetically this isn't anything new. But in terms of describing a beautiful summery love scene, this is good.
