A New Day Rising (Eternal Amorous)

A New Day Rising (Eternal Amorous)

A Poem by LivingDeath

Stand atop the world with me
and take my broken heart,
heal the scars the past has left
to piece in back to part.

Sit with me as skies crash down
like the waters from a fall,
I lay here now, incomplete
but for you I'll give my all.

Touching and passionate, putting into words what many can't. Myself included. Hah ! Great poem.

I think this was a little too short, but I like that there's no frills and you're quite direct with your message about the speaker's love. It sounds almost post-apocalyptic, which makes it very interesting. However, nothing other than that stands out to me. There's some bland, overused images and word choice here, such as 'broken heart' and 'scars', which I gloss over because I'm tired of reading them. What I do like is the poem's ability to be extremely vast and grand in just eight lines, which isn't easy to do, so well done with that.
