A New Beginning

A New Beginning

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

I got into a really bad car crash that I could of easily died in and than spent a day at YDC and its really opened my eyes on how I've been living my life and how I want to start new.

"

I'm sorry to anyone

I've every hurt before,

I've had my eyes opened

behind a locked door.

How I got there

I just about died,

it could of been the end

without a goodbye.

But I've got a second chance

and I'm thankful for this,

I couldnt imagine

the things that I'd miss.

Like a friend from afar

who I've hurt in the past,

I've finally realized

that I was an a*s.

I did things to you

that you don't deserve,

I broke your heart

and made you hurt.

I know that I lost

the trust left in you,

but baby I'm sorry

can we start new?

I've had my eyes opened

looking death in the eye,

I want to start fresh

and be a new guy.

So I'll start by saying sorry

to anyone I've hurt,

for all the things I did

for all the bridges burned.

This is step one

to start my life new,

to all you who read this

I want to thank you.

Make your life count.. Dont do something youll regret cause life can be over in the blink of an eye without even being able to say goodbye to anyone you care for. It just about happened to me; dont let it happen to you.

It's funny, it's when you actually go through something like that, that you realize how important those around you are. And that is when you actually learn to appreciate what you have.
Amazing poem =)

Powerful poem. Loads of emotion and feeling in this. Way to go and reach out to admit wrongs. the flow and feel of this are just perfect for what you are saying. so if this is step 1 where is step 2?

You are very wise. Most people must learn the hard way. I crashed my car years ago in a snowstorm. I was drinking and driving for 30 years. Taught me to not drink anymore. Ain't easy not of offend other people. I believe life is for learning. We will test our friends and our self often in a life. Good friends accept you for who you are in good and bad times. I like the ending. We need to be thankful for good friends. A excellent poem.
