The Most Beautiful Composition

The Most Beautiful Composition

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

To my Grandpa.. His condition is getting worse. His kidneys aren't filtering the toxins out of his body and now he is so weak he cant walk or eat, and any way to feed him leave him in worse shape.

"
Don't leave the stage now
the curtains have yet to fall,
you can't leave us now
in the middle of your song.

Your song has touched us all
and made us who we are,
I love you with my life
forever near or far.

You showed me how to live
as you played that melody,
sang you words into my heart
you mean the world to me.

I remember little memories
from years that came and passed,
they make the biggest part of me
our love will always last.

The lyrics tell the tales of life
the most beautiful composition,
notes that flow in harmony
portray a vivid vision.

So please don't leave the stage
the curtains have yet to fall,
you can't leave us now
in the middle of your song.

I feel this way about my grandmother. She is in the middle stages of Alzheimer's disease and for all intents and purposes the person that she was is gone. I've taken this poem to heart because of her. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

This was an awesome write. It was emotional and very sweet. I know that it's hard to see someone go into critical condition. This happened to my cousin with my uncle. I watched her cry and I wanted to support her, but I didn't know how. I wasn't used to seeing her cry. I didn't know what was going on with him either. This piece reminded me of that scenario that happened almost six years ago. The way you described the music piece to his life was a great way to show you loved him. Good job on this. Thanks for sharing. :)

This is a fantastic write. Full of emotion that just punches the reader in the gut. The descriptions you use are just amazing. Adding to my library for sure. Grandpa is a lucky man to have you in his life.

I hope your Grandfather is better. I will put him in prayers. We need our elders to teach us and show us the world. A beautiful poem for your Grandfather. I hope all is Ok.

Fantastic write. I love how you incorporated music into this poem, in a way it makes the poem seem more realistic. It'd be easy to write something like , "Grandpa, I'll miss you/Please don't go/I love you so much/I want you to make it through," and it mean similar, but this makes the poem more life-like. It brings more to the words and the meaning behind it. It flows beautifully. Great job. 100/100

Amazing are the shows when we don't wante the music to stop the flow of our words

The grieving process has already begun. So, sorry for your current loss. I have been in your position of watching a love one deteriorate. It is one of the hardest things to watch a man full of vitality decline. None the less, your tribute to his life well spent is lovely. As I am sure, it has been such a blessing to have him in your life. As for me, every time I think the grief is gone some trigger like your poem brings back the wretched tears. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
