Whiskey NightsA Poem by LivingDeath
I shoot the whiskey back
to dull the pains I get, one shot to remember another to forget. Another bottle empty another tear hits ground, when I think I see you here it only lets me down. Memories are all I have from all those months ago, my feelings are my own ones I'm not afraid to show. I call your name each night though I know you can't hear me, still I sing the songs I wrote and let myself cry free. I shoot the whiskey back to dull the pains I get, One shot to remember another to forget.
