We Fight

We Fight

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

Canadian Armed Forces. The army, the navy, and the air force.

"

Why do we fight when we're already free

sending our men over desolate sea.

We fight for a strangers life

with each and every strife.

For our allies and our brothers

to them there are no others.

To countries we don't know

to help them we will go.

With aid and care

to strangers we share.

With a maple leaf on our sleeve

our soldiers all believe.

We'll fight even though we're free

over this cold and desolate sea.

A great poem with an even greater message. The rhyming is effortless like always and the words flow perfectly. Really like this one.

A beautiful soldier prayer. I was a soldier for 15 years in the USA Army. Soldier hearts are always wishing for home.
