What Would You Say

What Would You Say

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

A song I'm writing. Piano and lyrics.

"

What would you say

If I threw my life away

If I ended it today

What would you say?

I miss you standing here

I wish that I could hold you near

But I’m sitting here alone

In this broken place called home.

But what if I said

I could live another day

What would you say

As I wiped your tears away.

I miss you standing here

I wish that you could stay this near

I never want to be alone.

In this broken place called home.

I really like this. I can definitely see it as great lyrics, especially with the changes there from a negative outlook and wistfulness, to an almost positive one when you have what you longed for. I especially like the line "In this broken place called home". For some reason, it speaks to me. Thanks for sharing :)
