My Heart My Soul

My Heart My Soul

A Poem by LivingDeath

I loved you all those years ago

You were my heart, you were my soul

But distance took its toll.

But it did not take my love for you

I love you to this day its true

And I hope you feel the same way too.

I cannot state in words I know

How far I would go.

But I would walk till my dying day

If I could hold you as I lay

To lay in die in the sun sets ray.

I loved you all those years ago

You were my heart, you were my soul

Distance could not break our love, for our love will go forever more.

Very romantic and sweet. I loved the lines:
"But I would walk till my dying day
If I could hold you as I lay
To lay in die in the sun sets ray."
A very beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing.

I'm putting on my critical hat here. I really liked it until that last line "Distance could not break our love, for our love will go forever more." It just seemed like you were forcing it to fit with your scheme. Still a good poem, though. :)
