One Last Hug

One Last Hug

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

I drove to my girlfriends house just to give her a hug before i went to bed.

"

Talking on the phone
as i sit here all alone.
Wanting to hold you near
wishing for you here.
I miss you more than ever
trying to think of something clever.
I got it, I got it
why not it.
Got five minutes before your parents get home
I dont want to be alone.
I ask you what you think
and you fill in the remaining link.
Gotta get there quick
damn i gotta rip.
Hang up the phone
I'm done with being alone.
Run out the door
jump in the truck and put the pedal to the floor.
I'm on my way
you're the highlight of my day.
I see you there
oh how i care.
I hold you near
you're finally here.
Not wanting to leave you
I know i have to.
So with one more kiss
I tell you you'll be missed.
And drive off down your street
thinking how when I'm with you is the one time I'm truly complete.

I LOVE YOU CHRISTINA

This poem is sweet :) I love how you put it as if it were a story, and the rhyming flows very lightly. Very nice work here :)

Awwww, that's just the cutest poem ever. Your girlfriend is one very lucky girl. The slow pace of feeling that was evolved around this was just beautiful. Nice Flow ;)

This is so sweet, your girlfriend is very lucky. I miss those days, since my boyfriend and I moved in together there aren't anymore surprise visits and this brought me back to a time when there was. I like the lines:
"I'm on my way
you're the highlight of my day." Such a beautiful thing to write. Great job.
