A shadow bleeds in a so called light
as the darkness emits a golden glow
luring a troubled soul.
A soul corrupted by the world
that has outcasted this lone soul out.
A troubled soul pursues this shadow
that bleeds even in the light.
But this light is artificial
it's not really there
made up to fit in.
The light is actually a darkness
that hides a bleeding shadow
that nobody sees.
As this soul cant find a way out
it goes deeper into the darkness
until there is no way back.
Soon the troubled soul gets lost
lost in the darkness that surrounds it.
As it gets more lost
it bleeds more and more
in the darkness that surrounds it.
So it continues
until the darkness
takes it.
Just as it did the bleeding shadow.
Never to be seen again
stuck in the darkness
and never to come back.
wow. that's really unique. the light being actually darkness shows that the best and worst are one in the same based on every person's opinion, if not one altogether expression of a single person's perception of somebody. the word choice is really captivating and the imagery and tension of the piece pierces deep into the reader's mind so that while they are reading it, their focus never drifts, after they read it, it's not immediately forgotten. nice write :)

i really appreciate this type of poem. in my opinion, it can be understood in different ways, depending on your perception of it. just the idea of a light actually being darkness and hiding a shadow is captivating and personally i think that in a way, it shows that maybe an individuals idea of light is another individual's idea of darkness. to me, it sort of tells a story of depression. and i find it altogether intriguing due to the different ways in which one could understand it. great write!
