The Dead End

The Dead End

Comparing Driving to Life.

I'm spinning out of control, i never know where to go. When i think I'm going the right way, i end up at a dead end. I hit it hard and i break apart; nothing is left the same. Hitting that wall has put me right where i began. Sad, cut up, and all alone, struggling to get back up. I guess i couldn't hit my brakes in time; i didn't know when to stop. Kept on going until the end, when i came to a hard and brutal stop. Now I'm here, cold and all cut up, sitting by myself. No one knows I'm really hurt, because nobody was there to see. This road has been a winding road thats had alot of big deep bumps. But i kept going until i hit that cold and hard dead end.

Your poem reminds me of my favorite poem "The Road not Taken" by Robert Frost.

"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Success & failure are like the head and tail of a coin. You have to accept both with equanimity.
The more you toss the coin; the more is the probability for heads to show up.

Your write-up reminds me of the 'lost' me two years ago! Thank you for taking me back to those 'sorrowful' days! :)

Keep writing!
