Times can be hard, but always look on the bright side.

When a loved one leaves you
a tear streams down your face
because you know no one can take their place.
And when you hear their pain
a permanent scar is made
from the voices in the shade.
For all you want is for them to be happy
yet all the results are nasty.
Can't they just get along
instead of ending up all alone.

Your words are so very true; when we love someone sincerely we do want nothing more for them than to be happy even if it's not with us. I have a few permanent scars myself that I love to "pick at" from time to time if only to relive the good stuff. I really loved this work.
