![]() Chapter 3A Chapter by Chloe ChristineAfter my mom went to sleep, I climbed out my window. It was so hard to get the nerve to do this again. The last time I had been sneaking out, my mom stopped me, climbing in the window. I was locked in my room for three weeks. My mom took me to school, and brought me my dinner to my room, sometimes. I got the beating of a lifetime that night. And she yelled so loud, the cops came to our house. But I made a desicion earlier. If I was caught, I wasn't sticking around to be yelled and cursed at. I wasn't taking the pain she indulled on me. I was going to leave. Or try. But I hadn't figured out where I was going to go. But to avoid being caught, I took precautions. I locked my door with the pad lock I stole from the local K-Mart, and put pillows under my covers in case she got in. I turned my music up a little, not too loud, cause if I made her mad, she could brake down the door. I even left the car in the drive way. It would be crazy to take it right now. I was halfway to the park when I saw cops. Did I mention that the local cerfew was 10:30pm? It was 10:53. I know it's a small amount of time, but they would take you anyways. I rode as fast as I could behind them. And. . . .They saw me. I kept riding though. I put my IPod on incase they caught me I had an excuse; I didn't see them, even hear them. They didn't even have their lights flahing. I slowed it a little, but took really rough spots for them to get through. I saw the park, but they were still following me. Screw that. I couldn't believe I was about to do this. I jumped the curb, and off my bike. I actually landed on my feet, and ran to a hedge. By now they were stopped and watching. I ran behind a house, to the patio. I hid behind the table and chairs. I saw the cops pass and decided to run. I ran as fast as I could to the Hill Crest Park and Rec. Center. I made it. Just as Alex pulled up. He saw me running and hid his car. I sat on the bench in the middle of the park, thinking he would know why I was running. Here in the middle of the park, the cops couldn't see us from the parking lot, and they weren't allowed to confront us. I saw Alex walking towards me with a big bag. "The usual," he said. "Cigarretts, Cigars, Bud, and Captin Morgan." "Oh, god. Thank-You." I said. I gave him a hug. Woah. Where did that come from? I guess I did that when I was happy.Hmm. I've never noticed that before. He opened the bad and handed me a bottle of rum with a smile, like a way to say 'your welcome', without saying it. He opened his than mine. And took a big swallow. Ugh. It tasted horrible! What possessed me to even drink it! He smiled when he saw my reaction. "You haven't had any in awhile, huh?" "No, I haven't. There's somethings I'm gonna have to get used too!" I laughed at myself. So did he. "It's alright. I think I know what's going on here." Oh no. what did that even mean? "Huh? What do you mean by that?" "Oh, it's so obvious. A very surprising invite, doing something your not used to with someone you stopped talking too." Does he really get it? "Oh really. Well, It's not my fault you know." "I know. You can't help who you fall for." What.? That was a huge surprise!! Now I knew I couldn't handle being here with him. But I didn't want to leave. I have to try to talk my way through this. "Yah. Your right. I totally fell in love with you when I didn't speak to you for two months." I took a drink. He rolled a joint and lit it. © 2009 Chloe ChristineReviews
