The Darkest Magic

The Darkest Magic

A Poem by Livie
"

Dark Hopeless Love

"

There is a smooth as silk mystery to you.

You fascinate me, your eyes and their puddles of blue.

Such a masterful contrast is your deep dark hair,

And a blissfully singed romantic soul to pair.

That iron mask you wear.

A glimpse under turns air to a dare.

You’ve left me breathless,

But darling I feel so helpless.

To you I can’t compare,

This allure isn’t to share.

It leads me to a sullen place,

Your perfection I can't seem to replace.

You’re in love with love.

Your metaphor, a black dove.

I am left in dismay

Like an old greying Jay.

Our feathers don’t match

So this dream of mine seems too delusional to catch.

Your not within my reach.

This sugary sweet is turning to a rotten peach.

I like it, its a bit sing songy. Could be easily read as lyrics?
I feel like you could remove some of the rhyme and it would give it a better rhythm.
Its a good read!
