Inside

Inside

A Poem by Younge Writer

Shooting your disease up my veins
Is worst than shooting your heroin up my nose
In conclusion I'm addicted to it

I love how it runs through my red rivers
Like Lewis and Clarks expedition
And in order to survive
It floats under my skin
Eating layer by layer
Moving from the inside to the out
They expose themselves to my rotting eyes

Ahhhh
The blood pouring from the holes they left
Feels like the good memories we shared
The deeper they feed on
Starts reflecting on how we failed

And when they get to my core
I have enough time
Enough time to shred my last tear
And my last words
The words that will never make it to your ear
My lips told what was hiding for so long
And if you're wondering about the scroll
It's not going to make it either
But the message it would have told you is
I did love you
But I'm glad we're through
Because life showed me
How much you were killing me inside
