Button pusher

Button pusher

A Poem by Lauren..
"

A look into someone else’s life in a wheelchair

"
Machines don’t operate on their own,
People push people’s buttons when they get mad,
People get to do things like running, and feeding themselves,
But if you have a disability you have to watch people do things from afar,
Not all disability’s can be seen,
Dyslexia is a reading disorder that makes words float around on the page backwards,
My disability is visible because I’m in a wheelchair.
Some people may get disabled as a result of a accident and some people are born with it,
People who are disabled from a accident become more susceptible to fall into depression,
My parents have to work so I have a aide who has to help me,
My brother has to sacrifice going to the gym or going on dates to watch me,
He could put up a fuss,
I don’t like to be paralyzed but I think it’s a blessing to show my talent for writing to the world,
I could have just thrown In the towel but I don’t want to hurt the people that love me the most,
Great things come from tragedy.
