They may be your relatives but we make the rules

They may be your relatives but we make the rules

A Poem by Lauren..

Cemetery’s are a place to say goodbye to your loved ones,

They are underground,

They have wishes that they sat down to write on a rainy day or on a later date,

They may want a certain bible verse on the grave but when you visit them later you find out what’s allowed and what’s not,

In America we have the freedom to say whatever we want and do whatever we please,

But some people may not agree with what you want to put on their grave but you are on their property,

You could start a fight but then it will land you somewhere where you don’t want to be,

Words smooth things over and violence is never the answer,

What you put on the grave should resemble the person’s personality and values,

People don’t want to be sad about losing their loved one they want to be happy because they are not in pain and they can rest in peace for years to come,

We need to be respectful of the dead even if we didn’t even know them.
