Heavy rains

Heavy rains

A Poem by Lauren..

I write about everything under the sun,

None of us have the power to make our lives into a movie,

I wish I had a magic wand to read people’s minds,

But most often we don’t even get the chance to do that because a heavy downpour might spring up from out of nowhere,

People want to hide their problems in the dirt,

The window rattles violently waking people up in the middle of the night,

Some people sleep through the storm,

Not a lot of people care about their safety,

Talk about how you are feeling with a friend,

You may have something in common with someone who is dealing with that you are,

You don’t want to leave them a surprise when they come home from work.

We do tend to hide our pain, depression...
We're afraid of showing weakness or vulnerability I guess.
Writing helps.

Talking out your problems and learning to manage depression is not always easy and many struggle even when taking medication and talking to a professional.
