A Day at the Park

A descriptive short story

It was a beautiful day in April and Rosemary Olsen was jogging in the park. She could hear robins chirping in the distance. She could hear young kids screaming as they soared through the air on midnight black swings. She smelled delicious buttery popcorn from a local street vendor. A couple was buying rainbow flavored sherbet. A family was playing with sidewalk chalk that would wash away when a mad rain cloud would let loose. Teenagers rode their bikes. One had a wobbly wheel. A wrinkled old woman was gingerly turning the pages of a book while resting on a bench. Rosemary could hear the sound of rock music playing in the distance. She enjoyed her day at the park and couldn’t wait to come back again.

Your story is short but very descriptive. I mean, I felt like I was there at the park with all the awesome imagery!
