A Poem by Little Blue
"

Boredom=poetry

"
Styrofoam cups hold summer's wine,
The lemonade of dusty days,
Lightening shines four eyes bright,
Like a camera flash,
Black and white light,
Pop rocks and cool aid,
Under warring weather,
Flowers in our hair,
A painted feather in a notebook of leather,
Cracked binding,
Like winter,
Bleeding lips,
Summer in a jar,
Candles in the cupboard,
These dusty attic pages let me breathe,
Disappear.

This is like sneaking a peek into an old journal, seeing how a younger you, or me, or hell...younger anyone...celebrated summer time. I know that for me, its not officially summer till I have my first Orange Crush. Then I know...its summer, Im going to get sunburned, and Im going to have fun on the way...

this is such a good trip.

I loved the warmth and summer's sense that this gave me... Such a feeling of lightness, invoking memories and depth. Wonderfully done!

Images flashed through my mind like an old photography reel while I was reading this. Sounds like a summer worth living. [:

I used to try to put summer in a jar. Caterpillars and lightning bugs . . . this is a great write.

I like the feel of the poem. Each line almost a separate story. A very good poem. I like the ending. Thank you.

I wish people would stop using words like "unique" and "different" to describe me. Let's face it; I'm odd. Sugar coating my oddity isn't going to make it go away. I enjoy my thoughts and their fleetin.. more..
