I dont know if any of you have seen Yu-Gi-Oh GX but this is a story based on a girl travelling to the island to figure out the true meanings of the game duel monsters. Based as an anime cartoon.

*Your Pov*

You hated Mondays, who didn’t? But this Monday was going to be like no other.

**At Duel Academy**

A blast of sudden demanding wind entered the helicopter landing area, what was uncovered was the opposite. A private jet with “Kiba Corp” printed in bold, blue text on the tail of the jet.

“Who’s that? Kiba?” A short brunette boy exclaimed to his blue hair friend as they walked past the landing area with eyes of amazement. The girls on the beach overheard the helicopter and rushed over like an army of hunting ants, you could clearly hear them gasp away like crazed kaiba fans. “Omg, like is it really kaiba? He’s come to find his true love, finally we’ll meet” This girl with outstanding purple eyes and tied up brown hair was surely head over heels. Can’t say the others wasn’t though there were giggling like primary school kids in the playground with their eyes firmly placed on the doors that began to open on this rich shining private jet.

*Your Pov*

Oh great, you had actually arrived, you wish it would have taken longer than 40 minutes to travel here. Then you could have got some shut eye. You’re music was playing louder than ever in your ears as you landed and then from the cockpit of the jet someone appeared in front of your seat.

It was you’re mother, dressed in her pearl dress. You hated that dress, every time she wore it, it made you hurl. You know she was only wearing it so she looked the boss, but no. That’s where daddy came in. You’re dad was a business man, he worked for kaiba and was one of his best friends (hence why you’re on the kaiba jet) your dad is like a father to kaiba along with his one true best friend. You’d met kaiba several times as he was always round for dinner; you found mokuba more interesting though, as he didn’t seem to talk for hours about duel monsters to your parents.

You hated the game, and couldn’t stand being around people who played it. You’re mother and father both were famous duellist and you hated them for it. You never knew how it could have been possible for them to have a child that hated duel monsters, but here you were hating it more than ever and they were thriving off of it. You didn’t hate it because you were crap at it though, actually you was pretty good at it you’d nearly beat the socks of kaiba on several occasions; you understood the game like the alphabet from A to Z. You knew everything about it after all you was taught from a young age by Kaiba and you’re parents, you just never took an interest in it the only times you had played the game were on family occasions and if you hadn’t there would of been a huge fight that would of kicked off. And you couldn’t be dealing with that.

You were a long white blonde haired, green eyed 17 year old rocker as you loved to call yourself. You dreamt of rock and roll in your sleep and loved chilling out playing you’re guitar and writing a new song. You were from Canada and the Canadian accent back home in America which you moved too was rather popular amongst the boys. Lacey was you’re name but many knew you as Lace. You were rich, pretty and had a recording contract. You had had several number ones back at home and for a 17 year old were outstanding; you had recently got interested in acting but gave it up as you are here on a duellist island now. Why are you here? 17 isn’t an easy age for you, in fact this year had been awful you got into big trouble at home for drinking, house parties and having boys round the house which you’re mum thought was appalling. You had been grounded several times but escaped through your bedroom window. But one night changed it all when you got caught by the police for drink driving, you got sent home and when you’re mother answer the door she could not believe her eyes.

“What on earth do you think you were doing Lacey? You could have been killed!” Your mother was furious her face began to turn red. You on the other hand were still drunk with your eyes rolling and a cheesy grin on your face.

“I didn’t know what I was doing, hence the drink. Gotta admit though. Jack Daniels is pretty epic”

You’re slender body slouched and you looked down at the ground “Hovered the floor have you mom?” You began to laugh “Or did you get a duel monster to clean it for you?” You’re furious mothers eyebrows raised “don’t be so stupid Lacey, you can’t keep doing this. I can’t handle it anymore”

You were confused, confused and drunk? You never thought it was possible, but a hole ripped through your heart as you realised something. “You never do handle it though, do you mom? All you care about is you’re silly little cards and you’re reputation. Like a card game can create good entertainment, yeah right but I tell you something, it can replace a mother’s daughter and I know that, I’ve been there. Infact I’m right there now and it sux, its sux more than ever!” After that lecture of you screaming at you’re furious mum you leapt to your room. Shut the door and lay crying face down on your double bed.

You’re mother came in later with black coffee and had a heart to heart talk to you. Sat on the end of your bed she told you some news “Its not that we don’t love you Lacey, we do. You’re our only daughter, but we need this, this duelling thing that you hate it made you what you are today, it got this huge mansion you live in and it puts the food on the table. It’s not what you think. It’s not boring it’s interesting, crazy and fun. Like rock and roll that’s how duelling is to me, the rush running through you’re veins as you draw your card, I know you’d love it if you gave it a chance” You’re mom handed you the coffee and you took a big sip which burned out your mouth so you couldn’t interrupt you’re moms powerful speech, but before you could speak you’re mom was to add more. “And that’s why you’re going to duel academy, you have been enrolled and you’re there for experience and finding out about the game from students your own age not to worry about the accommodation Kaiba has put you in obelisk blue which is the top dorm, you’re assigned a room once you’re there along with a uniform. Please thank kaiba before you go he could have said no. And before you say anything else love, I won’t take no for an answer you either do it or Ill sell that guitar of your, now what’s you’re answer?”

You’re eyes popped out of their socks as you gulped coffee down. You could not believe what you was hearing...you mom sending you, away?

“Umm, that’s a nice offer mom but I’m fine here. I have everything I need and besides obelisk blue? I prefer the colour purple to be quite honest and uniform; who do you think I am lacey-no-fashion? Students my own age? Students? Sounds rather posh for me. They’ve most likely been brain washed into the game. I have always thought that kaiba had since the day I met him and I must have been around 3? And they do say that toddler’s sence things .Anyway hello, acting that week! But thanks anyway”

You’re mother looked at you confused “didn’t you hear me? You don’t have a choice you’re going. It’s for your own good” with that you’re mum was out the room and it puts you to where you are today.
