Free In December
A Poem by
Little Amy Lee
Poem on the spot =]
Sitting in the childrens home,
Makes me want to cry
I hate being in this fragile zone,
Left here to die
Waiting here to be set free,
Waiting night and day
Untill they open them big doors,
Hushing me away
The friends ive made,
I will never let go
Our memories wont fade,
I love them so
As the moon goes down,
The sun begins to rise
I wake up with a frown,
But get a surprise
The doors are open,
Its time to go
The fresh air is cold,
And the floor with snow
My first step ill always remember,
This special day
When I was free in December!

How touching; how splendidly portrayed...!
Although I know it's about a Children's Home it reminds me of St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis, TN.
You have expressed the wishes and wants of a child so sweetly...of a normal life that (we) others so many times take for granted.
This will be a favorite of mine and I'll send it to others.
You are skilled...
