The Beauty In MeA Poem by Karina Longo:)I’ve been so heartless with the option of being kind I’ve been face to face with the option of being blind I’ve always knew too much, except from what I want to
know Ask me why - I can’t explain Yet I’m collapsing with so much pain My scars are my God, I swear they’re somewhere inside
me The past keeps playing like an old unpleasant song If it hit the parades, it’s going to be everywhere for too long - Bad melodies sometimes are much stronger than the good ones If you’re just pretentious it’s alright If it goes wrong or right, anyway you’re gonna be in
the spotlights But me, I’m scared, almost defeated and lost I refuse to see the sunlight and waited till wintertime
To step outside and feel cold but only inside I want to be seen but first I want to recognize who I
am Then I’ll trust I’ve got the strength to introduce me
to somebody else If I could only see the beauty in me Where our freedom lies within © 2012 Karina LongoAuthor's Note
