MyowntownA Poem by Karina LongoHappy lyrics, for a change. And no, I'm not being ironic. If you know my work, you know that! :)
Weird just like a hungover but cheaper than
a Chardonnay You've been thinking of so called impossible things all day The motor inside your heart is jammed But nothing could stop you from gear it up Get away from there, you want life instead of air It doesn't mean you won't keep breathing There's a whole damn lot of things in this world And dreams and photographs could never picture them big enough They can't say you won't make it You won't have to fade it Still keeping your feet on the ground No, it doesn't mean your head's in the clouds What's wrong about following a new path to Myowntown? Yes, you want to get away from there Breathe a new life not empty air As the wheels just keep on turning You've always been the hopeful type Who'd never miss a rainbow in a day of a bright sunshine And even when it's raining inside your mind Who'd ever guess the tears could be so genuine They're the anxiety and fear that someone Might try to take away your soul's purity They can't say you won't make it You won't have to fade it Still keeping your feet on the ground No, it doesn't mean your head's in the clouds What's wrong about following a new path to Myowntown? © 2011 Karina LongoAuthor's Note
