Trivial Pursuit Über Alles

Trivial Pursuit Über Alles

A Poem by Karina Longo

Lyrics

"
Kill the perspective of a shiny shadow
clouds shine the beauty no one longs to see
Oh, little explosives of fame and smoke,
a champagne bottle always hurts the litter.

Hunger’s there, as silent as morgues
Glittery corpses found in a bathtub

Chains to my fingertips, words are always so trivial
Chain to my fingertips, empty oceans and dead fishes
Broken hands can never write a name
Broken minds always think the same

We always dine as guilty men
In your hands winter dies,
slowly I survive writing down all my nightmares
Colours are not enough to draw these feelings.

Chains to my fingertips, words are always so trivial,
chain to my fingertips, keeping me sterile.
Broken hands can never write a name.
Broken minds will always think the same,
the same old same, the same

Amazing words. It remind me of a Leonard Cohen song. Must read each words to grasp his meaning and words.

words convey meanings, sometimes literally and sometimes conceptually.
feelings are part of meanings, an emotional significance.
some lose their meanings in the struggle with the words.
You are like the Jedi who has mastered the skill of seeing with his mind rather than with his eyes...you express the emotional significances in a torrent, and the words are an attachment that decorates them like a skimpy bathing suit on a voluptuous woman. That is the beauty of your writing I have concluded. That you possess the technical skill to also create an emotional impact with your writing gives it that much more impetus.

Perhaps these metaphorical gems could be highlighted further with the accent of ryhme of cadence of meter, but nonetheless-brilliant!

These are good lyrics. I can see the passion you wrote for each line and the grasp to each invoking word.

"Chains to my fingertips, words are always so trivial,
chain to my fingertips, keeping me sterile.
Broken hands can never write a name.
Broken minds will always think the same,
the same old same, the same"

I do have to agree with every line especially with words being trivial because sometimes people can say what they want but they don't mean it. Just a great poem.
