Life From The Best Seat

Life From The Best Seat

A Poem by Karina Longo
"

Lyrics.

"
Odd red bird sings, wake up,
Open your eyes and welcome
Another old seeping day
Milk still tastes pure and sweet, coffee is
so strong and addictive

But why should I take sides
If I can get out and ride my bike
to see life from the best seat -
In slow-motion or godspeed -
It just depends on where you'd like
to go now.

Here or there, going everywhere
I run from the people talking
All the same cheap plastic things
That agonize my dreams

Now I'm hiding from my fears
Just a lonely refugee
Who has to face a long storm
Breaking glasses, minds and walls.

But then why should I take sides
If I can get out and ride my bike
To see the life from the best seat -
In slow-motion or godspeed
Though I admit defeat and lack of maturity

Now the sun is getting lazy and
The dark clouds of my mind
Rise up to the skies
The day has gone, welcome the night,
Goodnight to life, goodnight.

I love the way you divide the chaos of the world around you with
pure happiness and enjoyment. You did a brilliant job of teaching
us what life is truly about...and Rocked that theme.

Please do a 12 string acoustic version. The chorus effect is singing
to my heart.

This is a very perfect piece, and tight lines presented. Outstanding. I think 'Now I'm hiding from my fears, Just like a lonely refugee' is superb, but I would drop the 'like' part as it is not needed? Thanks for posting, just awesome.

When you can get out and ride and escape the talk of plastic things you have accomplished an amazing feat. Wonderful lyrics Karina.
