Life's RemoteA Poem by Karina Longo
Suicided the idea of socializing
Mind and body - each so over rated The company of the bruises inside me Just reveal the snow-like yet barely scarred skin Body shapes, not so thin - Anorexic dream or lust within? F**k and pay, play and f**k off Hidden meanings, the oldest trick Four walls, five continents, one life Yes or no, maybe forever, maybe never Secular shame remains global and unknown Life - a disappointment on repeat I’ve seen too many copies of today - I’m so sick Life - an amusement so expensive And so damn cheap Selling respect for a bottle of alcohol Buying problems, a martyr’s life guaranteed Cover yourself blind when you want And then look around and be blinded by the sun Reality kills but the empty dream is a trigger The remote of life can't stop the pain So turn off the tv © 2011 Karina LongoAuthor's Note
