The Furthest Part Of MeA Poem by Karina LongoCollaboration with Rossen. :)Suffocated through all the fever and flame From all the nights we had, they were not so bad Can you really say, d'ya truly wanna stay Do you really wanna know, the way I'm gonna go Do you still see the furthest part of me Give something new, another piece of you Girl you take me down to my pain Please leave me alone, C'mon save me a bone Got to have a little of my time... She always kicked off her shoes on my side I see her dancing to tunes on long bike rides While I remember her hands - running through my hair At the end of the day Me I forgot all the times that she saved me From all the beat downs that life gave me She was my guiding light in the middle of night or day Carried my weight when I needed Took me back when I cheated Oh, she loved me so deeply So why did I treat her that way Her picture sits in my mind, Killing my hope for a lifetime I've seen my freebird flyin' away When all I wanted was to ask her to stay © 2011 Karina LongoReviews
