There Will Always Be An Open Door

There Will Always Be An Open Door

A Poem by Karina Longo
"

A poem/lyric which portraits someone who's missing their soulmate.

"

More than friendship, ships just sail away

You’re my everything, my nothingness made of purity

Everlasting love, though I don’t need to be romantic

Our lips won’t touch, for our souls embrace together

But where did you go?

Oh it’s so foggy outside

Where did you go now?

Please tell me

where do you hide yourself from this creepy world

Your dark pretty eyes recognize all my needs and dreams

Your sweet fragile smile brings me back

all the energy they'd took away from me

My hands are shaking as my heart aches

You’re the one who keeps me going, soulmate

But where did you go?

I took a bath from my own tears

Where did you go now?

My heart’s filled with fear,

anxiety’s killing me

I used to laugh about all those things that you’d say

And just because the sound of your voice

really would take my breath away

I know no one would really understand me

But then again I had you right next to me

And years may pass, but I’ll never give up about seeing you again

People may talk, but I couldn’t care less

about empty heads

In this world full of disbelief, you’re my

sparkle of hope

You’re my shining star, please don’t fade away,

we’ll find home

I promise you, please don’t fade away

- you'll never be alone

Wow. This is...I don't think I have a word for it. I want to say gripping, or haunting maybe. This poem is amazingly well written. It tugged at my heartstrings in the most pleasently wrenching way. There is such emotion in this poem. Excellent job

The only technical problem I noticed was that there should be a comma after again in this line "But then again I had you right next to me"

You don't just tug at heartstrings, you play somber, soulful music on those heartstrings with your exquisite words. Such sweet longing and hope!

This poem is beautiful! I can't think of anything to say, but I will say that it was interesting and eminent. :)
