"Never" Means "This Is Not Me"

"Never" Means "This Is Not Me"

A Poem by Karina Longo
"

Another lyrics. I'm quite the lyricist myself (at least I like to think so!). Experimental, alternative lyric writing here. Inspired by Nicky Wire's I Killed The Zeitgeist (the record).

"

when you gonna say

'i'll be there for you'?

or did you realize that

i'm not somebody to fool?

mosquitos keep on my ear

telling me the secrets that you'd probably fear

and all the things that you know,

d'you think you really know?

oh no

and all the things that you do,

they spread in the bloom

blood-red and rotten like

an aching sunburn

and your nature will never fade, it's like scum

we'll never, we'll never get done

we're never, we're never free from get lost

but drivers must be warned the liars,

they can't sit in the front

when am i gonna say

that i'll be there for you?

since you realized that i'm not a fool

i'll just be here for me

for me and for you, i'm telling the truth

you can mend or break it

you can be real or fake it

but you'll never,

you'll never control what's not yours

forever, my gain is your loss

"and your nature will never fade, it's like scum"
The above words are true. People can't change after they reach a certain point. There are people who are kind and people who need to abuse. I like the complete poem. A very strong ending to a excellent poem.

"they spread in the bloom", by far my favorite part. I read it a few times because there is so much information in those lines. A story within itself.
