A Hopeful ColorblindA Poem by Karina LongoOld lyrical poem inspired by a Manic Street Preachers song (even though the context is completely different). The future smiles to me But I can’t see It’s all so gray and torn When will I realize that I should pray for some belief?
Walking gently through the plastic leaves, It’s all the same, I turn around and now All their faces are magically invisible
Kicking softly the autumn breeze Freezing hands and tiring feet I know I’ve dropped any sort of hope Never ever will find a shelter - and
When I look above and the skies are red The ground is black And there’s no one else around here anymore The ocean is dead, my heart is sad A colorblind in life and love
The future calls me But I can’t sight I’ve never been too bright But if you give me your hand Maybe I could find a reason - ‘cos
When I look above the skies are red The ground is black And there’s no one else around here anymore The ocean is dead, my heart is sad A colorblind in life and love © 2011 Karina LongoReviews
