BreatheA Poem by Karina LongoThere's only one thing That you did force me to do - Which is to breathe
I do obey, as I know - How pathetic it would be Two lovers, one walking in the grass And another - the grass you're walking in!
I escaped from my demons - locked them all Right there, into the insignificance of A deficient part of my brain -
Never to be unlocked again, As certain things shall disappear though the power of time, love and dust - All my fears will be far as they must To keep me in the activity Of creating Breathe -
Please, shall I ask you something, my dear? Electrify me with two four letter words And promise me to never do that one The long one word, that we write with nine ugly letters, see - D i s a p p e a r
The sound of it horrifies me I'm pale enough, so don't surprise me! At least not with bad surprises
As for me, I'll still be here, breathing love and life If our promise is eternal, My sunshine. © 2011 Karina LongoFeatured Review
