The end of a reign

The end of a reign

A Poem by Kryptonite120613

It was a thing
He was my king
It was a reign
That ended in pain
Tears rolling down my cheeks
I'll just take it through the weeks
I don't know what to do
All I seemed to have was you.
But we all have to move on
Life seems like a giant con.
But we have our ups and downs
Now it's time to retire our crowns,
Because this reign has come to a halt
And my heart locked up in a vault.
I'll never fly with this rock
I'll barely be able to walk.
But in the end I will shine
Everything will be fine
Because I stuck my head up high
The tears are all dry.
But no thanks to you
I'm not going to hide what's true.
