Im working on this book....

“GO TO HELL!!!” I screamed with tears in my eyes. He stared at me as though I had cut out his heart.
“If you can not understand that I do not want to do that then you can go to hell for all I care.” I said slowly.
“Amanda I love you. Please, stop.” He said carefully and slowly in response.

“YOU’R GIVING ME NO CHOICE! YOU KEEP SAYING YOU’RE GOING TO CHANGE BUT YOU WON’T CHANGE!!!” I was screaming and sobbing by now. He came to hug me although it was all I wanted at the moment I backed away. I saw hurt in his eyes as tears started to brim them. I looked away before I could change my mind. I started walking away when I felt his hand land firmly on my arm.
“OW! Let go!” I scolded struggling to escape his grip.

“You can not and will not leave me.” He said slowly. I could see the anger in his eyes, and it frightened me.
“Who’s going to stop me?” I said tauntingly.
“I will.” He said firmly. I could feel my eyes grow.
“Get your hands off me you b*****d!” I snapped in response. He laughed and it slowly died as he heard a voice from my pocket. It was my turn to smile.
“What is your location? Hello? Miss what is your location so we can send help?” I pulled my phone out as he let go of my hand and it fell to my side.
“Stop, don’t say anything” He said slowly. I slowly started backing away. Then I turned around and ran as fast as I could. But I’m not that fast and I knew he was going to catch up to me eventually. I heard his footsteps behind me and I could feel my adrenaline start to pump as I ran as fast and hard as I could. But he saw it coming. He started running faster. He slowly started closing the distance between us. I started to pant. I couldn’t run forever. But I was afraid of what would happen if I stopped. I started to slow without knowing and he caught up to me. He tackled me to the ground and then everything went black for a few seconds.

 

            Red. That’s all I could see as I lay on the concrete. He left me there to die. Red. Blood. That’s all I could smell. That’s all I could smell as I slowly died. Darkness started to seriously take over and I knew it was the end. Then I heard voices.

“OH MY GOSH LOOK AT ALL THIS BLOOD!!!” It was my stepmother. That’s all she cared about, stains.

“OH MY GOD AMANDA!!” I heard a male voice scream and then footsteps run toward me. I felt my head lift up. I could see my brothers face. It was full of concern, then I blacked out.

 

            There was a light and a voice saying my name over and over like it was going to wake me up. But it did. I could feel my head pounding and the IV in my hand. I slowly opened my eyes to see my brother laying his head down next to me. I saw a glass of water and realized how parched I was. I started to reach for it, I felt my brother stir. I quickly turned to look at him and instantly regretted it; there was a sharp pain in the back of my head.

“She is awake!” He yelled.
“Thank you Shaun.” My dad said as he was by my side in an instant.

“Amanda? Honey, how are you feeling?” My father asked.
“My head hurts an awful lot.” I said my voice cracking. I looked at Shaun and saw the pain in his eyes. I wished I had him leave the room. I hated making my brother upset. My father buzzed the doctor .

“I’m fine other then that Shaun. Please, please, don’t worry.” I said slowly and smiled. He gave me a pained smile but I could tell he was trying. I took his hand and gave it a small squeeze when I realized there was an ace bandage around it. Shaun saw the look when I saw it. He suddenly got sad. He knew I was beat up pretty bad.  But we both knew he wished he could have stopped it but we both knew he couldn’t have.  Shaun could tell what I was thinking about. He always could.

“Amanda he won’t get away with this.” Shaun said in a stern voice I was almost scared.

“Your brother is right Amanda. He can’t get away with this. He will just do this to other girls and they will end up like you.” Dad said. He was rather harsh about it.

“GUYS! CHILL OUT! I just woke up! Can we like save this for another time? You know when I don’t wake up in a hospital?!” I snapped at them. Shaun started to rise but he just collapsed into his chair his head on my bed. I started stroking his blonde hair. We had the same color hair. But I imagine mine might have some red in it. Shaun snapped his head up

“Don’t you even think that!” Shaun snapped at me.

“Don’t think what?!” I was worried about Shaun.

“Your hair has no red in it so don’t think about s**t like that.” He snapped.

“SHAUN! Have you slept at all?!” I was shocked. He rarely cusses.
“NO! Ha-ha you act like I would be in a perfect mental state! YOU WERE KNOCKED OUT WITH A SERIOUS CONCUSSION AND PUT IN A COMA AND THE GUY IS THAT DID IT IS STILL OUT THERE!” He was yelling by now.

“Shaun… Calm down please…” I said calmly.  He raised his arms about his head and just dropped them. Tears brimmed his eyes and he stormed out. I was in utter shock and I couldn’t say anything. Dad had watched our argument and just came next to me. I saw it then. I saw a silver glint under his jacket.  I gasped.

“What honey?” He asked in a gentle voice.

“Uh... Nothing... Dad… Will you go see where the doctor is?” I asked in an emotionless voice. He gave me a confused look and just walked away. I was alone for the first time since I woke up. I quickly searched for my purse and found it on the bedside table. I pulled out my phone and dialed a number mindlessly.

“Hello? Amanda? Amanda what’s wrong? I’m at work.”

“Mom. I need you to come to the hospital.” I said emotionless.

“Why? Honey what’s wrong?” she started to sound worried.

“I’ll explain when you get here. But mom please I need you.” I said emotion finally entering my voice. I could hear her say something to a colleague.

“Okay honey I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.”  The phone went dead.  I put my phone down on the table. I sat there stunned into silence. I heard the door creek open my heart started to race and I could hear the beeping on the monitor speed up. Then I heard rushed steps and the world went black.

 

            I’m not exactly sure what happened in between then and now but I woke up to Shaun pacing around my room and father now where to be found.
